Friday... Came home and had problems with de Internet. So I did the "usual troubleshooting" and called Earthlink. The woman proceeded to spend an hour wasting my time with the same... exact... steps... and finally told me the problem's in my DSL line and it would take 4-6 hours to be repaired.
An hour later it was working.
Saturday... I stayed up late Friday watching a couple movies (Dukes of Hazzard and Legend) and ended up with a migraine for the better part of the morning. I don't remember much of the rest of the afternoon - migraines do that to me, unfortunately - but I do remember getting really hungry at like 7pm and went down to cobble together dinner. So I put together two plates - for Mom and Dad - and am in the middle of heating my own when Mom tells me she doesn't want hers.
Gotta love it.
Sunday... Church. Waited til noon for Mom to decide when to start decorating the tree. I pulled most of the boxes out of the crawlspace and lined them up ready to go downstairs. I was going to take Dad out this year, because the last 5-6 years it's always been me and Mom decorating the tree and I really didn't want to be stuck alone with her again. I was diddling around waiting for Mom to call me - playing Firefly DVDs - when my computer just shut down. Turned out the fan on the video card died. Again. Third time. Which made it overheat and now it doesn't work. Looked at prices online since I knew I wouldn't be able to get a replacement from Newegg again (though I sure am going to try tomorrow) and decided to go to Best Buy. So my brother bought a new car and ended up taking mine out somewhere after he got home. So we didn't get to go. Why? Well his and Mom's cars don't have heat. Great, right? Well 2pm rolls around and Mom still doesn't want any of the boxes. So I go out, decide I want asparagus with the turkey Mom's cooking for dinner and stop at Shop-rite. Head over to Home Depot for sand, then to Best Buy... which is completely packed. There's five stores and a Chic-fil-a near the BB... and every. single. spot. in the lot was full. So I went home.
When I get home I give the 'gus to Mom and she grabs me before I could hide and says "we need to fix the gutter." This one gutter/drainspout at the back corner of the house is disconnected. Now, usually every fall and spring someone (*cough*me*cough*) goes up on the roof and clears the gutters. Well we didn't this year for one reason or another. And the roof is covered in ice and snow. So I got a regular ladder and climbed up and reattached it. And Mom complained about how it was clogged and that's why it didn't drain right... so I poked a pole up there and dumped about ten gallons of water on my head. Freezing cold, dirty black water. So I showered.
I refuse to help with the Christmas tree this year. I just don't want to do it. Especially since my migraine's coming back (I think...) and I'm having sneezing fits from Mom's cigs and the nasty ass pine incense she and Sis like.
